First squad of warriors completed.

Today marks the completion of my first unit of Warriors  for my Chaos army. Eventually I plan on running three units of these fellows. This first unit is 14 strong with a lord thrown in. The Lord is just a regular warrior with the fancy helm option. In bigger games he will probably be just the unit champ then and the regular champ will become a regular fellow. Each guy is painted differently to give the unit some color and break up the monotony of a unit of same colored warriors. Plus I have always liked the way a unit of Bretonions look in their different colored armor and tabards and figure, "Why not, these guys are kinda like knights anyways. Granted they are evil knights bent on world domination, but still knights". Also I made a quick cheap movement tray for them to make my life a little easier.

Well enough rambling now on to the pics. (as always click the pics to see a bigger version)

Thanks for looking. As always feedback and comments are welcomed.

Warhammer Fantasy Battles time!!!!!

As my last post stated the time has come to give Warhammer Fantasy a honest go. It seems that WFB is getting a lot of attention at the local game shops (The Riflemen and Lost Legion) with a bunch of new people starting armies for the first time. Also my close friends are starting as well with Savage Orks, Vampire Counts, and Demons. As an added bonus my wife is starting a Dwarf army, and me? I am starting a Warriors of Chaos Army!!

To get started I picked up a Battalion the last time I was at Lost Legion Games (it comes with one unit of Warriors, one unit of Marauders, five Knights, and some hounds. Bill hooked me up with the army book, some extra hounds, three warriors, and Wulfrik. And as a trade with Rob and Lisa I have two more units or Warriors and a Sorcerer.
And a pic, just because what is a miniature post with out pics? ;)

To start off I painted up a test mini. The boots and such will all be the same color across the unit, but the armor, shield, and cloak of each warrior will vary, kind of like the knights in  a Bretonnia army vary from one to the next. I am not going crazy with these guys since they are rank and file I am just going for a quick decent paint job that looks good on the table.

And as an added bonus here is the start of my wifes Dwarf army. (She still has a box of Thunders to pick up from LLGC.)

Well, thats it for now. More to come soon as the army progresses. So please stay tuned for updates. :D

Why I have not been finishing up the Battle Wagon.

Because I have gotten side tracked. ;) The Battle Wagon is a free time project for when I have nothing else to work on but I recently had to add this monster to my nid army, a Trygon Prime. Eventually I plan to repaint my whole nid army in this color scheme, but that will be another spare time project lol.

The color scheme is bone colored flesh with green armour plates and black claws/teeth. I used a variety of parts from the Marloc/Trygon/Trygon Prime options to make this beast a bit different from the norm. Enjoy the pics and as always feedback is appreciated. My next update will showcase the start of Warriors of Chaos Warhammer army.
